The 100,000 Play Credit Charter
Merlin Play Hub is an adult (18+) browser entertainment platform headquartered at 100 Bishopsgate, London. Unlike commercial gaming venues, our observatory operates on a strict zero-monetary-value charter.
When you complete age-verified registration on our Sign Up page (or through the chamber gate when opening any folio), your scholar profile is immediately credited with 100,000 complimentary Play Credits. This grant is recorded as Entry #1 (welcome:1) in your permanent, server-side Credit Ledger.
- No purchase capability: There are no payment gateways, top-up checkout screens, or subscription fees anywhere on Merlin Play Hub.
- No redemption or cash-out: Play Credits are fictional tally units used solely to operate the visual mechanics of our six browser simulations. They cannot be converted into currency, vouchers, or physical goods.
- Dual-credential sign-in: Once registered, you can sign in using either your email address or your chosen Screen Name (`2–30` characters).

Navigating the Meridian Orrery & Survey
Our collection is deliberately curated to six distinctive codex folios rather than an overwhelming wall of hundreds of near-identical titles. On the Orrery Hub, all six folios are arranged as engraved brass plates inside the Meridian Codex Matrix.
Clicking Open Folio Plate on any card slides out the right-hand Codex Plate Inspector without leaving your current scroll position. Inside the plate, you can inspect the game's primary mechanism, signature craft, and volatility cadence before deciding to launch the 16:9 chamber.
If you are undecided which folio to inspect next, press Survey Orrery in the header, matrix, or mobile bar. Our client-side randomizer uses browser cryptographic entropy (crypto.getRandomValues) to select an unsealed folio, scrolls smoothly to its coordinates, highlights its frame, and opens its dossier plate after 600 milliseconds.
§3
Wax Sigils & Personal Reading Shelf
Every folio card, dossier plate, detail page, and player room includes a Seal / Sigil control. Clicking it stamps an illuminated gold-and-vermilion wax sigil onto the folio poster and increments the live counter in the observatory header.
As soon as you have sealed at least one folio—or opened at least one game chamber in practice mode—your personal Scriptorium Desk Shelf automatically appears on the home page with two instant tabs:
- Sealed Folios: Every codex title you have bookmarked with your wax sigil.
- Recently Studied: An automatic chronological trail of the chambers you have launched most recently.
§4
Horological Cadence & Volatility Scales
In the Codex Library, every simulation is classified along two axes: its Hermetic Ring (visual and thematic craft) and its Horological Cadence (mathematical rhythm and volatility scale from 1/4 to 4/4):
- Still Mercury (Calm · Low Volatility 1/4): Frequent, gentle visual resolves with steady Play Credit movement (e.g., Bubblin' Riches).
- Equinox Balance (Fair · Medium–High Volatility 2–3/4): Poised interplay between base-reel alignments and periodic bonus chambers (e.g., 3 Blades & Blessings, Book of Dead, Static Nightmare).
- Aether Surge (Storm · High–Very High Volatility 3–4/4): High-amplitude sessions built around expanding wyrmfire reels or cascading quantum grids (e.g., Legacy of Undead Dragon, Reactoonz 100).
§5
Lighting Scenes, Reminders & Account Breaks
Inside your Scholar Profile, you can tailor the observatory environment to suit your eyes and schedule:
- Three Atmospheric Scenes (
data-scene): Toggle between Midnight Lapis Observatory, Scriptorium Daylight Vellum, and Alchemist Viridian Crucible. Your choice updates immediately and persists across every page.
- Session Breather Reminders: Set a recurring timer for 15, 30, 45, or 60 minutes. When your timer expires, a gentle card appears inviting you to take a breather or snooze for another interval.
- Self-Imposed Account Breaks: Visit Player Care at any time to lock your account for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 6 months. Once activated, your session terminates immediately and sign-in or password recovery remains blocked until the chosen timestamp passes.
