Operator Identity & Scope

This website, merlinplayhub.com (known as Merlin Play Hub), is owned and operated by Merlin Play Hub Observatory Ltd, with registered offices at 100 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 4AG, United Kingdom (telephone: +44 7873 234567, email: curator@merlinplayhub.com).

By registering a scholar account, stamping wax sigil bookmarks, or launching any codex simulation on the platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Notice, and our Cookie Policy.

§2

Strict 18+ Eligibility & Account Registration

Access to Merlin Play Hub is strictly restricted to natural persons who are at least eighteen (18) years of age at the time of registration. By ticking the eligibility declaration on our sign-up form and entering your date of birth, you warrant that you are 18 or older.

Each person may register only one scholar account using a valid email address and a unique Screen Name between 2 and 30 characters in length.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password (`8–72` characters) and for all session activity conducted under your credentials.
We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account where we have reasonable grounds to suspect underage access or impersonation.

§3

Fictional Play Credits & Zero Monetary Value

Merlin Play Hub is a free-to-access social entertainment portal. Upon completing registration, your profile receives a complimentary charter grant of 100,000 Play Credits recorded in your server-side Credit Ledger.

Zero Commercial Value: Play Credits are purely fictional digital counters used to operate the entertainment mechanics of our browser games. They are not money, legal tender, electronic money, or financial instruments.
No Purchase or Redemption: You cannot pay money to acquire Play Credits, nor can you exchange, cash out, assign, sell, or redeem Play Credits for money, vouchers, goods, or services.
Revocable License: Play Credits represent a limited, non-transferable, revocable permission to use the observatory interface in accordance with these Terms.

§4

Acceptable Conduct & Platform Security

You agree to use Merlin Play Hub solely for personal, non-commercial recreational purposes. You must not:

Attempt to bypass our server-side authentication gate on play.php or scrape embedded simulation frames.
Use automated scripts, bots, headless browsers, or packet-injection tools to manipulate session state, Credit Ledger logs, or support dispatch queues.
Attempt to sell, transfer, or trade a scholar account or its associated Screen Name to any third party.

§5

Self-Imposed Account Breaks & Suspension

Through our Player Care centre, authenticated scholars can activate an immediate self-imposed Account Break for 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, or 6 months.

When you confirm an Account Break, your active session is terminated immediately and a server-side lock timestamp (break_until) is written to your profile. You acknowledge and agree that neither you nor our support curators can lift or shorten an active Account Break prior to its scheduled expiration time.

§6

Intellectual Property & Third-Party Studios

All bespoke site architecture, astrolabe vector instrumentation, editorial copy, lighting scene definitions, and the Merlin Play Hub identity are the intellectual property of Merlin Play Hub Observatory Ltd.

Interactive simulation frames embedded within our player chambers remain the copyrighted property of their respective software studios and licensors, provided here strictly in non-commercial practice demonstration mode.

§7

Liability Limitations & English Law

Merlin Play Hub is provided free of charge on an "as available" basis. While we endeavour to maintain high availability of our Bishopsgate archive and third-party practice streams, we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or error-free operation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury resulting from negligence, fraud, or any other right that cannot be excluded under United Kingdom consumer law. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of London shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
